About the Web Editor Position

We’re seeking a dedicated and passionate Web Editor to write, edit, and publish written content for our team. 

The right candidate will have a keen eye for detail while ensuring all content is of the highest quality, attracting an audience that continues to visit our website.

Web Editor Responsibilities

• Create, publish, and manage high-quality content in a web-friendly format
• Build and maintain relationships with team members, clients, and other media contacts
• Oversee the digital layout of content, including written content, images, and videos, working alongside web developers and designers
• Proofread and edit content, suggesting improvements as needed
• Fact-check content for accuracy
• Ensure all content is up-to-date and uses SEO best practices
• Use social media to promote all content
• Adhere to all copyright and privacy laws
• Track important KPIs and website traffic, analyzing clicks and views
• Give reports to senior editorial staff as needed
• Stay knowledgeable and up-to-date on technology and web best practices 

Web Editor Requirements

• [2+] years experience as a Web Editor or in a related role
• BA in journalism, marketing, communications, or similar field
• Excellent editing, proofreading, and writing skills
• Must have a demonstrable portfolio of published work
• Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and similar software
• Strong knowledge of SEO best practices
• Superb organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Must be a team player with a creative mindset
